"Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultry"
~ Exodus 20:14 ~

The foundational base upon which God has built this commandment has its beginning in God's eternal purpose and 'Plan of Eternal Progression'. God has said, "This is my work and my glory to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." (Moses 1:39) When we come to understand just who 'Man' actually is, that is the spirit children of God the Eternal Father, Elohim, and that God's plan is for man, male and female, to become like He is, and all of God's commandments and designs do work to this end, the one comes to understand God.

A short and simple answer as to the identity of man, it that 'man' includes women'. Together they are the sons and daughters of God, and in truth the angels of God. God, Our Father In Heaven, is the Father of the spirits of all men. That Spirit is very much tangible and functional but not at a level that an embodied spirit in cased in flesh and bones is. But back to the short of it. If we are the spirit children of God the Father, then we are to that extend in and of the race of God and we have the potential to become even as our Father in Heaven is. It is to this fullest potential of possiblity that God's commandments have been given unto man. It is to bring to past the immortality and eternal life of man, even unto the highest degree of becoming even as God is. And to become as God is, we need to learn to live 'God's Laws'.

The term 'man' may be used in two separate senses. In terms of there being a 'man' and a 'woman' then the term 'man' is associated with the gender of the male and of course woman is associated with the gender of the female. But there is a more generalized understanding of the term 'man' as will. When it states that 'God created man in his image, in the image of God created he 'him'; male and female created he them,' (Genesis 1:27) it is clear that the reference to 'man' is more generally speaking of both the male and the female of the species. That is 'mankind' includes the whole of the species of 'man', both the male and the female. So every often when God speaks of 'man', particularly when God's gives his commandments unto 'man', God is speaking collectively concerning the whole of the species, male and female as the race of mankind. And he is not 'excluding' the female from have the same responsibility of keeping God's commandments as he expects of the 'whole of man', both male and female. For certainly there is not 'man' without the female as well as the male. To interpret is differently is obsurd and the taking of a thing by purposely ignoring the truth of the matter, thus twisting and bending the word of God to suit one's own particular subjective interpretation to make a lie and avoid a responsibility to God.

When the scriptures so states: "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply and replenish [fill] the earth, and sub-due it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the aire, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. ~ Genesis 1:27-28 Jehovah—Jesus Christ, Our Temporal Creator	Elohim, Our Father in Heaven of Our Spirits 'Man' can be a general term which refers to both of the male and female of the human species of mankind. The commandment for man and woman to be 'fruitful and multiply' has never been recended by God. It is still in force. We further learn that man is created in the image of God, Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes; Eyes, Ears, Mouth and Nose. We look like God generally speaking. Of course when 'Man' is divided into Male and Female, there are the needful differences that gender makes. That is a given understanding of any reasonable person. A male cow and a femail cow look like each other in their general imagery, though there are differences in respect to gender. And since we are in the image of God, it is also further generally implied that while man is in mortality and God is immortal, that God and man are also of the same order of being, as we are told that God is our Father in Heaven, the Father of our Spirits. "Behold, I am he who was prepared from the foundation of the world to redeem my people. Behold, I am Jesus Christ. I am the Father and the Son. In me shall all mankind life, and that eternally, even they who shall believe on my name; and they shall become my sons and my daughters. . . . Behold, this body which ye now behold, is the body of my spirit; and man have I created after the body of my spirit; and even as I appear unto thee to be in the spirit will I appear unto my people in the flesh. ~ Ether 3:14 & 16 Jehovah, who is the same being as Jesus Christ, appeared to the prophet Mahonri Moriancumr about 2000 B.C. He showed unto that prophet his Spirit body and explained to him a number of things concerning the temporal creation of Man.
Why?: All of the people of God who followed him in the preexistence* has or will come 'down' to earth as they follow the way Adam opened up for them to follow. It is part of God's plan whereby may may develop and become a self actuated being. That is in terms of independently exercising his agency to choose. And God is so testing man to determine who among his children will choose good over evil, and to choose of themselves whether they will choose and select the ways of God, that is good over evil. God's laws of good and righteousness are those which work to support and preserve eternal life. One of God's laws and intentions of eternity is to preserve and increase the immortality and eternal life of man. In this earth life man participates in the power of creation, that is pro-creation, in taking upon 'him self' the responsibility to multiply and fill the earth. To mover God's plan forward, the spirits created in the pre-existence must be born into mortality, ideally to a loving and caring mother and father in a home invironment of father, mother, son(s) and daughter(s). Thus is God's Law of Chasity, which is one line it 'Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultry' and its purpose is to build and structure the home and the family of man to aid in the meeting of the plan and purpose of God for his children. *[NOTE: Lucifer/Satan and his followers exercised their agency and chose not to follow God in the pre-mortal existance. They were cast out of heaven and will not have the blessing and opportunities which God's obedient childre have of following Adam and gaining a body of flesh and bone and to have the opportuinity to further progress toward becoming as God is.] Further, when it speaks of the creation of the Woman, the scriptures gives to us further insights, information and instructions to the relationship between man and woman. One such insight is when the Apostle Paul speaks to us, he is one who gives us further information.
In terms of the creation the scriptures further state: "And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept and he [the LORD God] took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesk instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and tlesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. ~ Genesis 2:21-24	Now the figurative language of the creation of woman basically means that both man and woman are of the same species and of the same set of DNA. The DNA that Adam was created of is that same set of DNA of a woman, it is the DNA of the human species.

The truth of the matter is that God established the marrital relationship between a man and a woman beginning with the first man and the first woman, Adam and Eve. The children of Israel were taught and understood well that relationship and the order of moral chasity which was so further associated with it. The scriptures speak of it and support it. That understood 'law of chasity' was that God expected his people were to control their harmones and their sexual drive and reserve it unto that single relationship of marriage between a man and a woman. There is no more outstanding example of that expectation that that which was in force at the time of Jesus' birth. That is when Mary was found with child, meaning it to be evidence of her having stepped out of the expected standard of morality and had had a sexual relationship outside of marriage. It was the absolute custom that a woman who was to be given in marriage was to have her 'signs' of her viginity given and note to ensure that she was still a virgin and worthy of marriage. That same level of morality was also expected of the man. So when Mary was found with child, Joseph, being a just man [for he could have required her to have been stoned for such false representation], had determined to put her away privately. It was then that the angel Noah as Gabriel intervened and insured Joseph that Mary was still literally a virgin, still not have 'known' a man. And that which was conceived in her was done by and under the power and presence of the Holy Ghost and God. Anyone who has studied the Scriptures and knows of the laws and the traditions of the people of God, Israel, has this understanding and if they part from that which they know to be the truth of the matter, then they are lying before God and man.

The very standard which Jesus himself taught was not only of the traditional level of understanding of the traditional laws in respect to the Law of Chasity steming directly from the commandment that thou shalt not commit adultery. It was one level higher than that of actual physical action. It was of the level of what was in the heart and mind of man. Man again meaning both male and female. That is what Jesus said applied to both man and woman though stated in the genreal application of 'man' meaning the whole of mankind, male and female.

Remember, Jesus taught that: "¶Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman [or man] to lust after her [or him] hath committed adultery with her [or him] already in his [or her] heart." ~ Matthew 5:27-28 Uncontrolled sexual behavior is a ruinous behavior that undermines the fabric of society and destroys one's sense of morality. As one looses their own ability to control themself in society they further give way to all sorts of amoral behaviors such as drugs, respect of life, respect for others and the rights of others, and they gernerally lose respect for law and authority.

As man is to be judged by the 'heart', Jesus is also speaking of sexual related sin which must be repented of. That is to even have a mind set that another is but a sexual object of which to lust after is a sin of a degree related to adultery though but confined to one's mere state of mindful of lusting after another. And it must be repented of and gain the Lord's foregiveness of it in order to obtain God's reward. And just as understandable 'sex' outside of the bound which God has set, that is within marriage between that of the married man and woman, it is a sin of adultry. 'Lusting' after another, male or female, is the preamble to failure of self-control of the carnal animalistic creature. God expects us live at a higher level than of the 'creature', to control our 'harmones' and limit self to the design and purpose that God has set. And that is for a man and a woman to marry and to have children to fulfill the purposes of God. Once man begins to lose self-control, his actions overflow into other avenues of life. Instead of controlling himself, he allows things to govern him. Just who is the master? Man or the uncontrolled indulgences of the flesh?

So what we can learn here is beyond the actual physical act of breaking a commandment, there comes the initial temptations to do so. And these are to be controlled by that which a person places in their own mind and heart to desire. Thus the Lord taught man to avoid the temptations in the first place and to be pure in mind and pure in heart.

Now it does not state that men and women cannot have friendships and be acquaintances of each other. What it states is that outside of marriage their relationship is not to be of a sensual or carnal nature. Too many Hollywood movies, like all of them today, show it to be just the opposite of that being the case. And that is the exposure of our children today, sad as it is.

Now there is another scripture stated by Paul the Apostle. Paul states it in the strictest of 'Jewish' traditional terms which I think would be much softended by today's authorities with just what is the man's responsibilities to his wife as well. So with that bit of a disclaimer, I will present Paul's teaching from the scriptures.

"For the man is not of the woman but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman: but the woman for the man. For this cause ought the woman to have power of her head because of the angels. Nevertheless niether is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God. ~ 1 Corinthians 11:8-12
